September 29 2018: 11a-4p

September 29, 2018 will be the final Scout Flea Market (SFM) of the 2018 season, and like anyone, SFM plans to go out with a big show... leaving you wanting more!

SFM will host its final market of 2018 during the 70th Annual Grundy County Corn Festival. (If you aren’t familiar with this event, click here).  Corn Festival offers numerous activities all day long for five days. There’s a pie eating contest, live bands, food trucks on every corner, and a huge parade on Sunday. Corn Festival is a blast

You may have attended True North’s Parking Lot event during Corn Festival last year. It was a blast and inspired SFM to jump on board. Other events you add to your plan for the day after shopping SFM and True North include the Log Home Festival and the Grundy County Craft Show and Flea Market, plus the stores downtown will be open during the day too.

True North located at 539 Bedford Road (also known as W. Route 6) is a large 6000 square foot store packed full with affordable antiques, vintage, salvage, furniture and handmade items. This will give you, the SFM attendee an extra 70+ vendors to shop. We were thinking of YOU when we partnered with True North. Check out True North on Facebook for some awesome photos.

Now located in Morris, SFM will give you and your friends the perfect excuse for a road trip. Downtown Morris is only 1.5 miles from True North and it has more than 30 charming stores and restaurants… and was voted one of the top 3 shopping destinations in Illinois!

The reasons you love SFM haven’t changed. The vendors you love to shop will still be there, you'll find great deals  and discover some cool things! We're bringing you some new vendors this season too! Vendor participation will be a juried so we can make sure there is only ‘cool junk’ at every market. As always SFM will include live music, a kids scavenger hunt and other fun activities.
Vendors will be unloading and setting up all morning, to be ready for shopper at 11am. Grab some coffee and take your time. The vendors like to look perfect for when you arrive.
This event is not a part of True North, they are just allowing us to use their parking lot. With that said, each SFM vendor will handle their own merchandise sales and negotiation. Some vendors may take credit cards, but bring cash. There are ATM's near by also. Follow SFM on Facebook for vendor details closer to the event.
Daves Dawgs shares the parking lot and offers great food including Chicago style hot dogs and ice cream! You can dine inside, outside or take items to go. True North sells water, jones soda, route 66 soda and snack. Indoor and portable restroom facilities will be available during the event.
There is no entry fee and there's a lot of free parking surrounding the market. Have fun, bring your friends and enjoy Scout Flea Market!
